Archery is a sport for all, regardless of age and physical ability. We run Indoor and Outdoor beginners course at various times during the year. Archers who have had basic training in the past and have belonged to another club, are usually able to join without undergoing a further beginners course. Simply complete a Membership Application form (see Home Page) and tell us where you have gained your previous experience. We may ask to see you shoot to assess your competence.
Our beginners course normally take place on Saturdays and comprise of three weekly sessions of 3 hours per session totaling 9 hours of course time . All the equipment you need is provided. You will use the same set of equipment (where necessary) throughout the 3 week course. The cost of the course include an Archery GB Beginners Book for you to take home.
We strongly advise you do not purchase archery equipment before you have attended a course. If you do have some equipment, you may bring it along and one of our qualified coaches will be able to advise you on the equipment you have.
