The ArcheryGB Classification scheme is a badge scheme targeted at all levels of archer from near beginners right through to Olympic-standard archers. Awards are based on classification tables for both Imperial and Metric rounds. These classifications exist for both Indoor and Outdoor rounds with separate badges for each.
There are 3 classification tiers. Each tier has three 'sub levels' of achievement.
The bowstyle, gender and age of the archer determines the specific scores required for each classification level. There are published tables showing these required scores for each type of round. You will need to shoot rounds totalling a certain number of arrows at or above the required score for that round to be awarded that classification. For the Archery tier the requirement is for a set of rounds totalling 12 dozen arrows. For the Bowman tier, this requires a set of rounds totaling 18 dozen arrows.
More information is available at https://archerygb.org/resources/outdoor-classifications-and-handicaps. Scores have to be achieved within a specific calendar year period. You can hold different classifications for different bow types.
